You’ve had a lot of time to think/consult with NHS leaders about a feasible way of saving the NHS. This isn’t it.
You should be able to get a GP appointment when you need one. Labour will end the postcode lottery for GP appointments, training 7,500 more doctors a year and guaranteeing face-to-face appointments. Vote Labour on Thursday 4 May to cut waiting times. https://t.co/xcV8tMakve

Great example of why doctors are striking. More and more doctors are moving abroad as the pay and conditions in NHS are so poor. Wonder why NHS isn’t working well? This is one of the factors.
Here’s my payslip as a first year doctor in 2005, next to a first year doctor colleague’s in 2023. 18 years later, their take home salary is less than mine was. I lived for free in hospital accommodation and had a fraction of their student loan. #JuniorDoctorsStrike

We see that @SteveBarclay has told @BBCR4today programme he is meeting with doctors later today. Actually he cancelled the 9am meeting we agreed so he could do media, and a further meeting is not yet agreed. Hopefully it will be soon.

The NHS is completely BROKEN It WASNT broken by COVID/Ukraine/inflation(*delete excuse) It was broken by deliberate CHOICES to break it RT if you want this/next government to make CHOICES to properly fund the NHS, reward its staff & provide better healthcare for UK population

Absolutely this- nurses and ambulance staff (as well as rest of NHS staff) need better remuneration.
2. Gov has sought to point to the independent pay board as their justification for the pay settlement. But the ‘level of independence’ of the body has come into question as scrutiny has ratcheted up, with some unions threatening to withdraw from it altogether

25/ Our new chancellor @jeremy_hunt knows this is a problem #FixTheFinanceAct #FixNegativePIAs #TaxUnregistered Its time to fix this properly, before its too late RT if you are fed up with them robbing your pension & destroying the NHS https://t.co/7FUxSvXIrL
2/ Grant an immediate exemption for doctors to public sector pension rules which are currently forcing them to retire in their fifties in alarming numbers.

2022 is also the year we got buffer zones into legislation that's making its way through parliament - designed to put a stop to anti-abortion harassment outside clinics. Where in the list is @stellacreasy or @RupaHuq or Victoria Atkins? 9/

How does this impact on digitally excluded patients? Used correctly it is positive- enabling patients to use digital, supporting proxy access, making space in traditional contact routes

Thinking today about Debs and what an amazing woman she was. Left us far too soon. And left behind a wonderful family. I hope our local community can support you and the kids, G. https://t.co/bdNdEEFBxO

This needs to be read. This is a massive reason why there are rota gaps across the UK… why are trained, educated professionals treated in this way?
