The world's fastest growing economies have lower taxes - my message to Rachel Reeves ahead of the budget
‘Labour are at risk of choking growth.’ @Jeremy_Hunt points out that the world's fastest growing economies are ‘bringing down taxes’, not raising them.

Steve Farmer wants to see Broadwater former golf course turned into a community sports facility in memory of his wife Laura who tragically died last year, but he’s very frustrated by the lack of progress. I met him last week on site.. #broadwater #farncombe

After our civil court marriage, we embarked with a team of volunteers and 54,000 spiritual books to the Emerald Isle, distributing them like autumn leaves. This fulfilled my dream of becoming a missionary. Soon after, we planned a religious church wedding and set the date. A

My surgery call today was to a Godalming resident about some knee surgery that went wrong at the Royal Surrey. She is very concerned that the hospital is still not classifying it as a ‘never event’ and therefore not doing the learning necessary from what happened so I will raise

And here I am meeting the Witches of Waverley…aka the totally brilliant Annette and Tanya who are the driving force behind the Farncombe Day Centre which does an utterly amazing job tackling social isolation and offering support to vulnerable older residents. Thank you for all

You and I will never agree on this Roy! But after reforming the CQC to call a spade a spade after Mid Staffs in 2013, we saw 4 million more people treated in Good/Outstanding hospitals. Sure it lost its way in the pandemic but is now getting back on track under Sir Mike Richards
Since 2009 NHS services, access, quality have all declined. The reasons are multifactorial but the decline is undeniable. The CQC have done nothing to sustain standards or improve them.

I’m deeply moved to have been appointed to House of Lords. The NHS has shaped my life, work, & values. it’s where I learned what care, compassion, & public service truly mean. I hope to carry that spirit forward in this new role, speaking up for patients & health professionals
