In a new @JPAHjournal paper Tiago Calelas and colleagues propose a balanced approach to global health research that charts a course between the competing priorities of rigor and meaning. https://t.co/h0l08HkGvZ

It's wonderful to see the success of these two excellent scientists. Both have, in their own way, taught me about a spirit of enquiry, about thoughtful science and about kind leadership.
π’ We have been remiss in not yet publicly celebrating 2 richly deserved promotions. So, please join us in congratulating ππΌ Prof David Ogilvie @dbogilvie and Prof Jean Adams @jeanmadams - co-leads of the Population Health Interventions Programme in @CedarUK and @MRC_Epid πππ₯

[DREAMS] I never thought I would ever have a paper published in a Nature journal. Thanks to an amazing collaboration with @AgnesErzse, we have a realist review of industry voluntary actions out in @NatureFoodJnl - in short, they harm more than they help. https://t.co/tLnx02unDB

I spend more than half my salary on childcare (yes, that's before other frippery such as rent, bills and avocado on toast). And I'm one of the lucky ones. Please don't insist mothers can have it all on #IWD20222, when the system is designed for them to fail.

The only major outlier is Delhi where, unlike every other city, women have on average signf lower levels of active travel (walk+cycle) time than men. Thats because a large proportion of women in Indian cities report not going out of home at all!
New @ERC_Research funded paper @TransportJrnl finds remarkably similar overall levels of active travel time in men and women in 19 major world cities, though in many there are large gender differences in the modes of transport that individuals use. https://t.co/KI1v2GmZpy
