Can’t really use the language of AA/NA here, because the A stands for Anonymous, and this is surveillance-based, where data is the product. And Tom here is announcing his job as a lobbyist to sell this to city governments.
A key tenant of 12 step recovery is privacy. Sponsors are privy to extremely sensitive information and the foundation of AA/NA is to build a trust with a safe person where your privacy is protected. Trusting an AI data mining operation with this information is very bad.
