I’m not a fan of remakes, but NGL a remake of this with @spencerpratt would go pretty hard lol

@Hotshot_Movie A lot of the problems we’ve had with fuels management and out of control fire risk have arisen because decision makers are listening to principal conservation biologists more than they are to wildfire scientists and professionals

It’s a sign. This was me after just a 3 day shoot in SoCal.

Holy mackerel Gavin looks like shit. He has rapidly gone ghost grey since the Palisades Fire. Puffy cheeks. Booze and guilt taking their toll.
When Gavin was "on the frontlines" of the Palisades Fire, as people burned alive, he was staying in the lap of luxury at the Waldorf Astoria. His hair is suddenly grayer, his face swollen from relapsing into alcohol addiction, to mask his guilt. Yes, the fire was absolutely his

@Hotshot_Movie I said it this way during my appearance w/Steve Hilton in LA during the Jan fires - we used to have a saying: “you provide the defense, we’ll provide the offense.” DEFENSIBLE SPACE is key…. Like fuel breaks and control burns.

106 degrees and 75mph winds in JUNE in Santa Barbara back in 1990. Painted Cave Fire was brutal. The 2019 sequel wasn’t nearly as bad, but it followed almost the exact same path.

10 months in. Just 6,999 more to go!
The first fire-rebuild home in the Pacific Palisades is nearing completion. It belongs to Sue Labella, a Palisades resident of more than 30 years who lost her home in the January fires. She wanted to rebuild without the stress of managing architects, contractors, or permits.

You can never go home again.
Just months after its post-Palisades Fire grand reopening, the California Coastal Commission unanimously approved a plan that will demolish and replace the coast’s beloved Gladstones restaurant with a celebrity chef’s new fine dining location. Details: https://t.co/3YTuUVnZ1F

But I've been reliably informed that the fires were "unprecedented".

It's just climate change, guys! There's nothing we can do. Buy more Teslas like these folks clearly did...in 1993.

The only thing that changes is the film stock. "Unprecedented"

Tattoo this in reverse on your forehead if you live in CA.
@Hotshot_Movie It’s exactly this that makes me suspicious every time someone who’s never even been to a wildfire says “drones or AI will solve this” It’s thinning, infrastructure hardening, and tactics. The rest is noise.

Who could've guessed that Malibu was flammable? It's unprecedented!

If only the Palisades Fire had some kinda...precedent. Maybe we could've done something differently. Oh well!

What strikes me about these LA fires is just how unprecedented they are. How could we have seen them coming?

Clampitt - 1970 Old Topanga - 1993 Woolsey - 2018 Every 2 and a half decades, like clockwork. "Unprecedented", though.
