We’re deeply saddened to hear of the passing of musical icon, Burt Bacharach. The writer behind some of the greatest songs of the 20th century, it was an honour to have him perform here at the Hall back in 2016. He will be greatly missed.

It is with a very heavy heart that we have to tell you that our former Principal Trumpet, Rhys Owens, died on Friday. Rhys had recently had to step down from the Orchestra after some thirty years, after being diagnosed just over a year ago with Motor Neurone disease.
Our Opening Night is here! Tonight, after 6 months we are so pleased to be back with the first of our socially-distanced concerts. Enjoy music by Mozart, Pärt and Beethoven, conducted by Thomas Jung, it’ll be a night to rememeber.
The Hall may be quiet, but our ghost light is still shining brightly.
We love this tradition and the promise of return that it represents.
We’ll be back as soon as we can🧡
