I first saw @Bruceliupiano perform in Düsseldorf in 2022, not long after he’d signed to @DGclassics. Tonight, it was a privilege to welcome him to the @bbcproms to make his debut at the festival, alongside the marvellous @philharmonia and Santtu Matias-Rouvali.

The diversity of the @bbcproms is one of this festival’s greatest strengths. Sunday night: rarely-heard Tippett. Last night: 90+ minutes of Mahler. Tonight: beautiful, intimate music for sitar by @ShankarAnoushka, accompanied by the @LCOrchestra and @robertamesmusic.
