Memecoin preseason pumps came from degen FOMO for missing BTC ETF catalyst.
But BlackRock ain’t aping into your shitcoins, JPEGs, DeFi/GameFi, etc.
Retail got burned hard last cycle still holding illiquid NFT bags, so IMO they’re not going to be fooled again by cartoon PFPs…
None of my normie friends are saying anything about crypto. It feels like the market of degens expanded but we didn't get the 'everyone and their mom' part of retail adoption.

When a Web3 game doesn’t retain its own holders, why would anyone think it even stands a chance with Web2 gamers?
The negative feedback any streamer/influencer/gamer gets from talking about your game, only moves the industry one step back, not forward.
Just make game and build an amazing community around it. It wil take time, but empires aren't built in a day.

In Chinese there’s a saying 光脚不怕穿鞋, literally translating to the barefoot aren’t afraid to wear shoes.
It’s a metaphor that when you have nothing to lose, you can go all-in. Web2 co’s don’t need Web3 to win. So they just visit as tourists & leave after taking liquidity.

I disagree. I don’t think the Ether team got handed a layup. Azuki sucked liquidity from the entire PFP space into their treasury, and now there’s probably no excess funds to mint anything else, especially a project that overlaps so highly with Azuki in terms of aesthetic.

F2P won over boxed product because of friction reduction. Both the cost and time involved to get good gameplay in players’ hands were reduced. Good gameplay still matters for F2P otherwise the players bounce out of the funnel before they are retained for monetization.
