And here it is... the cover of my new book, Pathfinding. Huge thanks to the whole team at @eandtbooks for giving this book a home. The cover was designed by the very talented Rafaela Romaya and evokes all the things I love about walking, incl the purple of the heather in August.

Oh how bloody wonderful
I volunteer at #Oxfam & a man came in today to donate toys and children's books precisely because he had read this @caitlinmoran @thetimes article. Please do take your clean, usable, saleable items to a charity shop before #Christmas rather than waiting until afterwards 😊

‘No man will touch me until I have my rights back’: why is the 4B movement going viral after Trump’s win? Can I say again (sorry to repeat): this has a history of 2500 years. There are lessons in Aristophanes’ Lysistrata.

Demonstrators in South Korea swore off heterosexual dating in protest against misogyny. Now the movement is sparking interest among young American women

Nurses are overlooked & undervalued. Because we are a 90% female profession. The current state of geopolitics makes this particularly troubling. We need strong leadership in our Royal College. You have until Nov 11th to vote for @alisonleary1 @SheilaSobrany @teamallsorts & me.

Still one of my favourite moments! Loved meeting these two. And has anyone noticed the other link between Detectorists and Digging for Britain?

As Lead for Senior Doctor Wellbeing and Leadership in our trust I am looking to connect with other colleagues in UK - is anyone else doing a similar role? I have a fabulous network of colleagues from Aus, Canada and US but very few in UK and would love to change that!

As a third-space professional in the middle, I can believe it. Professional services colleagues’ work at all levels is skilled, expert and vital. They Know Stuff, and they’re brilliant. And we don’t see the half of what they do, because they do it so well.

4 1/2 years of this now for my daughter and I. Hers is much worse than mine. No school, no activities without planning and recovery for days. And that's with meds. It's just total pants.
💜🌟#PoTSAwarenessDay🌟💜 #PoTS is so much more than just a fast heart rate upon standing! Quality of life can be equivalent to COPD and congestive heart failure. Many patients are told that their physical symptoms are ‘all in their head’ and instead are given psychiatric

Families with a history of intergenerational trauma often normalize their dysfunctional patterns, thus allowing the cycle to continue. This article looks at how intergenerational trauma in families is characterized by secrecy, shaming, and scapegoating. https://t.co/OR0mtolKNR

If you put this little detail in a campus novel, it would be considered overly-contrived, possibly outright satirical.
Hey @AstonUniversity, Glad you're improving your staff-student ratio. However, I'd appreciate it if you didn't use my face to advertise your new hires since you actively encouraged me/my colleagues to leave or made us redundant. #Translation & #languages at Aston are now closed.
