Thanks @RepMikeLawler for recognizing this WWII vet and firefighter on his 100th birthday; I know him also as an unbelievable grandfather and cornerstone of my family.
A WWII hero, B-17 gunner, and 79-year veteran of the Congers Fire Department, Al Magnatta has dedicated his life to service. Turning 100 years young on January 29th, he’s still answering the call. Thank you, Al, for inspiring us all.

Earlier today the Assembly GOP held a “Member Farewell Breakfast” to celebrate our retiring colleagues. I had to channel my best Andy Goodell (mustached version of course) to celebrate a guy who has been a mentor, a friend and many things in between. All the best to Andy!

Impacts of deforestation are felt worldwide, but NY has the opportunity to limit our contribution to the issue. Yesterday, we passed the TREES Act, legislation I sponsor that would ensure state agencies are limiting their purchase of products that contribute to deforestation.
