José Daniel Ferrer has left Cuba & is now in forced exile. We @amnesty celebrate that he can reunite with his family & regain part of his freedom. His situation is not an isolated incident but part of the Cuban government's systematic strategy to silence those who dissent.

Today we mourn Pannir Selvam, a Malaysian man executed in Singapore. He had been on death row since 2017. Through his poems and songs, he showed love, hope, and courage. His plea for compassion was denied. Rest in peace, Pannir — your strength will never be forgotten.

We fully agree with ILGA-Europe that the impact of this strategy will depend on how the Commission acts in practice: “Coherence and credibility depend not on declarations of intent, but on consistent enforcement of EU law and values.” 🔥 https://t.co/ZZ49HQElAz
