[ Litepaper Announcement ]

In this paper, we delineate our approach to highlighting critical challenges in Ethereum scalability and shifting the paradigm for blockchain app development.
Focusing on the philosophy and architectural implications of
Excited to (finally) share what I had been working on in the past few days! And more so because
L2 infrastructure made easy! App-specific rollups for all right on Ethereum
If you're interested in the project and wanna collaborate or just wanna chat about it! DM's always open
Some DA projects' marketing is just absurd.
What does 85,000x cheaper than Ethereum even mean? I can run a DA node in my basement and call it 100% cheaper than Ethereum.
Builders MUST understand DA has different security than Ethereum and not a 1:1 replacement
1/ The first step to re-imagining Block Explorers.
✨Introducing the Stackr Playground ✨
Block explorers need a major upgrade to show app-specific data, we decided to take it in our hands by building a *State explorer* for Micro-Rollup's state machines.
Fuck it. Dubai was a mistake.
Arrived here at 2pm, its 9:30pm still havent made past the airport road. Team is split, entire luggage with one group, stuck in middle of roads the other half of the team hopping metros.
No idea what outcome would be tonight
Sick of people making utter useless PRs like adding 1 semi colon to Readme just for the sake of completing
#Hacktoberfest
challenge.
If you're a repo maintainer, do them a favour and label the PR as "invalid" so that it doesn't count to the challenge. Support quality OSS.

Frames are quite possibly one of the most interesting applications of micro-rollups.
The current problem with them is the dependency on a backend servers which are centralized.
Micro-rollups are indistinguishable from backend services but adds a layer of verifiabilty

Stackr is the next step in the evolution of modular rollups! ⚡️
It goes beyond the idea of app-specificity to unlock a new paradigm of developing decentralized applications!
I will bite, once this cycle ends -
📉L3s and random-ass EVM L2s (disguised as app-specific) will go to zero.
📈 general purpose L2s, alt-VM L2s and hyper-specific/single-purpose L2s will stay.
My goal for ETH India this year is to work closely with a few teams to help them build cool infra/devtooling projects and have them end up on the finalists table 🏆

As i said, real rollups are being built now.
So...is

the best hackathon tool now? 🤔
We are thrilled to share that *FOUR* out of 13 finalists at
@ETHIndiaco
were Stackrhouse hackers who built micro-rollups for niche use-cases.
Besides the 4 finalists, total of 8 Stackrhouse hacker teams won sponsored bounties 🔥
LFG 🤘🏼🚀
Super excited for the program and looking forward to meeting the founders behind the 25 other phenomenal projects selected for the cohort of CSS’23!
Really great to see the vision of modular rollups taking shape and grateful for the support by awesome people 🫡
Thrilled to announce that Stackr will be joining this year's cohort of

Starting tomorrow, we'll be spending the next 12 weeks in Santa Monica, CA to work on the mission of making app-specific rollups easier to build!
And it's up!

Hackathons are great but honestly does more harm than good to beginner/junior devs who are overdoing it
They are able to come up with PoCs quickly but often end up doing it the wackiest way possible
More often than not they use this same approach to write production code
App Specific Rollups leads to App specific Block explorers
Heck, App Explorers!
Massive design change will come to how we use block explorers.
It will not just about seeing blocks, it will be about what the blocks mean. I have some ideas, will share soon.
Really very excited to be working towards making app-rollups easier to build and deploy. Thanks so much
@EF_ESP
for the support
Stackr is going to open up a new class of hybrid applications which will blur the lines between web2 and web3 and not just in terms of execution speed
Pleased to announce that Stackr has been selected as a grant recipient by the Ethereum Foundation. It will aid us in our continued efforts to expand our platform for app-rollups.
Deeply grateful for the Foundation's support and belief in our vision!
Internal testing going strong 💪 Micro-rollup running in native TypeScript + bun runtime.
TPS is insanely high but we prefer Bits-per-second which is a better metric (also insanely high btw)
*<28ms* rollup execution in non-production JS build
Build whatever, using whatever 🧱
Went out on a limb to declare this statement at a16z CSS demo day. I strongly feel 1 year from now, app developers are gonna have a very fun time building applications on Ethereum!
This is the road to the next million developers and next billion users! Build apps, not chains.

We let 30 devs take the SDK for a trial run last month and are now incorporating their feedback to harden it for a Q1 alpha release
New projects underway too, lets daaash into 2024🏃♂️
In our ongoing attempt of improving Ethereum app development infrastructure, we keep thinking about use-cases that can benefit by novel rollup constructions
here's how we imagine Micro-Rollups could support On-chain Attestations.

I have a weird observation, I see a lot of individuals building side projects on Account abstraction, MEV, ZKPs, Wallets and what not
But hardly any individual working on Rollups, cross-chain composition etc. it’s mostly teams and orgs
Why?
If you are building something like
Just saw a TV ad for

This seems like a hasty decision.
Please reconsider this and take into consideration all the students who have worked really hard to receive an internship which will help them in their career path.
Moreover not all colleges are able to give good exposure in terms of challenges
Intrigued by the recent developments around "points" in the ecosystem, we decided to pull an internal hack sprint to see how a hybrid points infrastructure could look like

A few updates on
@0xStackr
roadmap before my panel at
@modular_summit
1️⃣ SDK v0.1.0 will be launched with a JavaScript library (followed by python soon)
2️⃣ Devs will be able to build and deploy custom state machines as micro-rollups
3️⃣ execution handled in app’s own runtime

When does "building an L2" become the default? We don't say every app wants to build a smart contract
L2 is just an execution paradigm, its nothing fancy
Correction -> Every on-chain smart contract execution will move to a verifiable off-chain execution environment
Just approved some really unique swag designs for

1/ Unlocking Novel Hybrid architectures.
This is a small part of our reimagined "State Explorer" ✨
Txs should not just have 2 states. There is a spectrum of intermediate semi-finalized states that allows building all sorts of novel UXs. (C0 -> C4 in our case).
We internally built a rollup "from scratch" in just 56 lines of TypeScript using
@0xStackr
SDK
And by scratch I mean defining a custom state machine and a custom transaction format. It can count up and down. Pretty exciting, right!
How's your week going?
"Micro-rollups are analogous to smart contracts"
1. Their state is isolated
2. They contain logic to mutate their state
3. Once executed, the immutability of the tx data is guaranteed by a committee
4. State can be shared for interop
@nuss_eli
another
In case of micro rollups owned and run by a single entity, proofs dont matter at all as long as immutability of tx data (whatever output) is guaranteed.
Its like how smart contract logic is implicitly trusted but the ledger keepers arent. Sovereign rollups are underrated
Here's a list of my favourite projects at

which I endorse for Quadratic Voting.

1/ Current gen block explorers are not ready for app-specificity. They all look the same and prioritize blocks and chronological transactions in those blocks.
Explorer UI/UX need a major revamp, Apps must be elevated to become 1st class citizens for explorers.
