Despite systemic blockade of B12 transport, none of these individuals were anemic. With a CRISPR screen, we found that the LDL receptor is an alternate receptor for B12 uptake in blood cells. (5/6)

It turns out anti-CD320 is surprisingly prevalent. We found it in 7 other patients with unusual neurologic presentations, 21% of neuropsychiatric lupus patients, and 6% of “healthy” controls! (4/6)
