If this bums you out, might I recommend...down-ballot elections! A lot of climate policy (transit, housing, water use, parks/open space) gets decided at city/county level. Mayor, city council, city attorney, county supervisors, sheriff, DA. Your vote matters there. Show up!

If I ran a newspaper, I'd be running organized daily tests of the postal system. Every day, send a set number of letters to a set number of locations — across town, three towns over, your state capital, big coastal cities, rural areas. Track how long each one takes to get there.

I am feeling a deep appreciation for @mplsclerk and staff. They have adapted, taken on jobs that didn't exist before, and made it possible to have a functioning, accessible city government over the last several months. Thank you.

Gov Walz asking people to go home but..... What if those "people" aren't from Mpls? What if those "people" are actually anarchists or white nationalists agitating, burning, looting to sow further division between our community and country?!?

It does not advance #justice to tell 1 part of the narrative and withhold the rest - particularly when the narrative you tell paints Black people as urban terrorists, & we know others are committing crimes. Our people are working hard to keep the peace when no one else can/ has.
