This week we remember three of our fallen Soldiers. Spc. Daniel Drevnick, Spc. Carlos Wilcox and Spc. James Wertish were killed July 16, 2009, in Basrah, Iraq, while serving with the Minnesota National Guard's 34th Military Police Company Stillwater, MN.

MN’s chapter of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) held an event for employers of 133rd AW Airmen, St. Paul, May 29. The ESGR event included remarks from U.S. Air Force Col. Jesse Carlson, 133rd AW commander and ESGR reps followed by a flight on a C-130 Hercules

Growing up with a passion for aviation, Airman 1st Class Edward Chmiel has turned his love for flying into a military and civilian career. An established commercial airline pilot, he recently joined the Minnesota National Guard’s 148th Fighter Wing.

Last week, members of the Minnesota Broadcasters Association visited the Minnesota National Guard's 133rd Airlift Wing and the 148th Fighter Wing. Guests boarded a C-130 Hercules flight from St. Paul to Duluth and received an up-close look at the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

McGough and the Minnesota Vikings, both recognized Beyond the Yellow Ribbon companies, along with other BTYR partners and the Australia New Zealand American Association, teamed up to host Military Family Day at the Vikings’ training center in Eagan on June 30.

Don't worry! Our four-legged friend is a training simulator, not a real puppy. Members of our 133rd Airlift Wing and 34th Combat Aviation Brigade participated in canine tactical combat casualty care training in Saint Paul, June 8.

We’re celebrating Independence Day with 15 communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan by providing U.S. Air Force approved flyovers. Look to the skies on the 4th of July, and you may see two F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 148th Fighter Wing.

Earlier this month, Minnesota National Guard service members joined over 900 cyber professionals in Virgina Beach for exercise Cyber Shield 2025. Cyber Shield is the Department of Defense's premier annual cyber training exercise.

Safety is key as we add the new Joint Light Tactical Vehicles to our units. Drive at a safe speed, be aware of the environment, and always follow your training. Leaders, be sure to plan for potential risks before every mission. Working together, we can keep our people safe.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Sgt. Brent W. Koch who gave his life on this day in 2006 while serving with the 1st Brigade Combat Team of the Minnesota National Guard in Ad Diwaniyah, Iraq.

At just 22, Spc. Aidan McGill is leading by example—balancing service in the @MNNationalGuard with graduating college and starting a business career. From top ACFT scorer to training in Norway, he’s one to watch. 📰

Last month, our service members joined the Norwegian Armed Forces in participating in the world's largest cyber defense exercise, Locked Shields 2025, through the State Partnership Program. The scenario reflected a real-world digital crisis between two confliciting countries.

On May 28th, the Marshall community came together to support our Soldiers from Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion, 151st Field Artillery Regiment during their pre-deployment send-off ceremony.
