After nearly 20 years in this field of research trying to present data to offer justification for why ACCESS to care matters just as much as outcomes of care, it’s really cool to see this policy advance to a final rule. This bipartisan supported policy is set to start in 2025!.
A new final rule issued by @CMSGov and @HHSGov for a mandatory alternative payment model called the Increasing Organ Transplant Access Model aims to improve the number of life-saving kidney transplants for patients whose kidneys have failed.
