I struggle with the fact that it’s not enough to be human anymore. So much of me yearns for something that modern culture and society can’t provide.
Modern society is so overstimulated, yet understimulated at the same time. Our nervous systems were not made to live like this

I was running several large social accounts for clients when my girls were born. I made a pact with myself that they’d never see my phone out. It was hard sometimes, but worth every second, affirming that nothing is more important than being present.
Once I have my baby, the plan is to never use my phone in front of them. I’d never want them to see it as being something deserving more attention, and being a source of entertainment. iPad babies exist because of iPhone parents.
