instead of reading alone you should lecture about what you're reading (anchor it to a specific friend instead of trying to speak to "the audience". Everyone who is at the friends level will be able to follow along)

@DefenderOfBasic Tarantino has had the same public persona for 30 years but suddenly you see popular takes that he's rude, ugly, delusional, his movies are cringe etc It's interesting how these are suddenly amplified

you know that thing where your mom asks you to fix her WiFi just because you're a software dev it's the same thing when you ask a random scientist a scientific question

Fascinating. If models are generating output based on training data from billions of voices, we owe it to those voices to identify the sources of the ideas/who "taught" them to the LLMs. John is working on the solution for this; read the essay!

@thrialectics @DefenderOfBasic I will address this later today after some coding. This is a tight modern doc, I'll explain the journey when I'm free. https://t.co/yKCxcRo7Zq

Potential vs Manifestation: What could be already is. Its form is a perfect abstraction complete, lean, and waiting. It resides in the conceptual dimension, where entropy is not the default state. We live in the temporal dimension, where entropy is the default state. This

This is part of what makes it silly - if I actually wanted to hide information I wouldn't put it anywhere private. I would put it in a noisy public stream. Good luck getting anyone to pay attention to that https://t.co/hTNlMjhPph

@DefenderOfBasic The same network will treat information differently, and therefore who the information will reach, if they consider the information “public” vs “private”

"private" and "public" don't make sense as categories. It's easier to think about "if I put it in this information network, who will it reach? Who can reach it?" - much cleaner
