Still so many to choose from, but dancing on top of this speaker at Lightning in a Bottle to Rufus du Sol dropping their remix of “The Runner” is def up there— and getting so many videos from friends in the crowd
if someone asked you to recall your all-time favourite clubbing/raving memory (or one of them), what's the first thing that springs to mind?

The cycling community is going to be enthused to learn what you can legally do if you are bumped by a car.

This video eviscerates Noem’s false claims. She should be fired.

You can already glean a few things re: Minnesota sh--ting based on the videos that are now widely available. Things start to go south when federal officer -- hooded -- lunges toward car. The driver at this point is reversing and wheel is turned toward left. 1/

a mentor once told me that the person who figures out how to enjoy the process will always beat the person who’s just tolerating it. same hours, different energy, completely different results. find a way to love the grind or find a different grind.

also true for artists !
Early specialization is overrated. Generalists excel over time. Data on >34k stars in sports, music, science, and chess: Focusing on a single field predicts a faster rise, but cross-training foreshadows a higher peak. The most successful adults start off as well-rounded kids.

Conversely, the #1 reason people don’t achieve their goals is simply that they don’t have them in their context window most of the time.
Manifesting, affirmations, chaos magick, The Secret …Are all just ways of keeping your goals in your context window, like an AI agent. And it works surprisingly well.

if you drink caffeine only a few days a week it is always a super drug
Coffee has gotten weaker. Used to be that a cup of coffee would energize you like crazy. Back when I first started, the coffee was so high quality that it would almost get you “high.” It felt like a legitimate psychotropic. Now coffee only gets you to baseline. It changed.

me when i charge non-profit clients far less than the market rate and absolutely crush it for them, only for them to turn around and lowball me further
A mistake I will (try not to) make again: Sure, I’ll help you out of this emergency situation and pull an all nighter to get it done, and we’ll talk about the invoice later (thinking they will be so happy to have their situation fixed that will gladly pay my rate).

Panera Bread is a low key elite accidental Third Place. The one near me is also an excellent quasi-co working spot.
@michaelmiraflor given how often Panera becomes my cowork away from studio, their monthly subscription for unlimited coffee/tea/drinks is incredible. have closed some big contracts on the road and from a random Panera

the smartest people i know are all psychologists and they are all doing copious amounts of drugs and sex parties on the weekend
"What the smartest people do on the weekend is what everyone else will do during the week in ten years" – chris dixon, 2013 what is the smartest person you know doing this weekend?
