Louisville is finally working on this, but not completely, why do something right when you can do it half way.

Rule 38 Revert Multilane One-ways to Two-way for Business Savannah, GA made East Broad one-way in 1969—2/3 of businesses vanished. Reverted to two-way in 1990—businesses rose 50%. One-way networks are holding businesses back. Walkable City Rules https://t.co/2RtkJjwl7b

THREAD. Something must be said about the New York Times. We are in the midst of a full-blown fascist takeover, and the NYT let one of its most dishonest reporters publish an article today full of misinformation arguing for massive new investments in police and surveillance.

Four of today's big SCOTUS decisions were 6-3 votes along ideological lines. *Nationwide injunctions *Obamacare coverage *LGBTQ+ books in schools *Restrictions to porn access A reminder that Mitch McConnell gave us this court by playing dirty.

The Kentucky senator stood to be a big loser in the 2016 elections. Instead, he emerged more powerful than ever.

See that giant bar all the way to the left? That's how much rural Kentucky stands to lose under the proposed federal Medicaid cuts. We wouldn't just lose more than any other state, we'd lose around twice as much as any other state. https://t.co/xIdzauE1iL

Only three states in the country raise enough revenue to fully cover their highway spending. 47 are subsidized.

I live in the curfew zone. The Trump administration is lying. The GOP is lying. Right-wing media is lying. There is no apocalyptic rioting and looting. That’s a manufactured narrative. The National Guard is only here protecting the federal building. That’s it. They’re not needed.

It took us 20 years to environmentally clear California High-Speed Rail, while that same "review" allows us to continue building highways through entire neighborhoods in the same state.

“Abundance” is just eliminating worker & environmental standards we took decades to earn. I’m all for building lots of things, for investing in building things big & small. But not while creating more low wage jobs. Union labor - skilled, trained and fairly compensated!

Everyone mourning the loss of Jonathan Joss because of his role as John Redcorn need to EXCLAIM why he died. His house was burned down because he was gay. Neighbors killed his dog because Jonathan was gay. He was killed because he was gay.

Americans have failed to understand how much of a role the gov’t plays in protecting its citizens in an advanced society. They elected someone who’s going to withdraw the help— ridding the nation of food inspections, air traffic safety, weather forecasts, vaccines, etc. FAFO.

Another example showing that drivers don’t need so much space. Two lanes of Main Street closed for work at Ky Center, one lane for through traffic and little impact on drivers.
