IMO it boils down to 1) receptiveness and 2) range. Range as in having a wide breadth of knowledge such that you could have a conversation about virtually anything, and receptiveness as in being delighted, open, and willing to engage earnestly. If you lack either it falls flat
What is it that makes some people easier to talk to than others, for you? It’s one area where I feel like I can’t predict outcomes well. Some people seem like they will be easy to talk to and then I’ll find myself stretching to think of topics, when it flows naturally with others
