Take a look at the project that consumed most of my PhD! Happy to have this out there
Take a look at our latest @ACS_Sensors publication on NDMA detection in water, led by former grad student @jesscbeard and postdoc @ChiHsienWang. A big step towards rapid, affordable environmental sensing! https://t.co/elfkWwMO7p

A problem with the advice "don't eat anything that has ingredients that you can't pronounce" is that I'm am an organic chemist, so I can basically pronounce all the ingredients

The first paragraph of this article is the best paragraph I have read in years

A PhD is temporary. That typo in your thesis is forever.

actually a bit eldritch how grad school lures you in with promises of arcane knowledge but then drives you to an incurable madness

I'm in a mad scramble to find housing near Caltech, and a fun twist in this effort has been realtors/landlords that won't let me apply without seeing the unit in person!! SOS 💀😭

I've watched this about 5 times now
With move-in day right around the corner, overpasses all over the Boston area need your help. They need to not be hit by a moving truck on Storrow Drive or Soldiers Field in Boston & Memorial Drive in Cambridge. Plan your move in day route accordingly & watch for the signs!

You can't drive moving trucks on Storrow Drive. You can't drive moving trucks on Storrow Drive. You can't drive moving trucks on Storrow Drive. You can't drive moving trucks on Storrow Drive. You can't drive moving trucks on Storrow Drive. Have a nice day.

Having to ask "weird barbie" for advice is the equivalent of having to ask the most senior grad student for department lore and how to navigate in said space.

I would like to have words with whoever is behind the "Save as Adobe PDF" and "Export to PDF" buttons in MS Word producing different outcomes 🤦♀️

I would like to go back in time to last week and have a stern conversation with past!me, who inexplicably thought "It's just an updated CV, a research summary, and cover letter. How long could it take to write?" 🙃

I had a wonderful time attending the Charter II @NOBCChE Collaborative meeting this past week at @CarnegieMellon with some of my fellow MIT Chemists! Thank you @ChemistryMIT for supporting us and the @SwagerGroup and @SmithLabMIT for supporting me!

I think an underrated joy of living in the Boston area is going to watch the marathon and just scream/cheer on total strangers. The vibes are all positive, it's so fun to do, 10/10 recommend (and now I need tea for my throat after all the cheering)
