With move-in day right around the corner, overpasses all over the Boston area need your help. They need to not be hit by a moving truck on Storrow Drive or Soldiers Field in Boston & Memorial Drive in Cambridge. Plan your move in day route accordingly & watch for the signs!
That’s right folks! This Move In Week we only had one report of a truck needing to be turned around on the river roads & ZERO reports of bridge strikes! Thanks again for helping us spread the word about keeping trucks off of the river roads!
The Canadian wildfires are continuing to burn millions of acres of land and polluting our air with smoke. We are so pleased to be sending this crew of dedicated and hardworking wildland firefighters up north to help!
🚫🙍🏻♂️Don’t be a Michael Scott this Move In Season, look up from your GPS and watch for the low clearance signs on Storrow Drive and Soldiers Field Road in Boston and Memorial Drive in Cambridge. Don’t get Storrowed! 🚨🚛
(1/3) As Move In Day 2023 approaches, DCR’s traffic engineers are piloting a new type of high visibility sign in our ongoing attempt to keep trucks off of Storrow Drive and Soldiers Field Road in Boston and Memorial Drive in Cambridge.
Remember! Trucks and oversized vehicles are prohibited from Storrow Drive and Soldiers Field Road in Boston and Memorial Drive in Cambridge due to low clearance of various overpasses on those parkways. If you're driving anything over 9 feet, find another route!
☃️ Snow time this weekend is Brine Time! Instead of using rock salt on your driveway or sidealks, try making your own salt brine! It’s better for the environment, cheaper & easy to make. Follow along as we show you how and check the 🔗 for instructions!
