@MTA gets annoyed when we point out that elevators being replaced are still out of service. When you say there are 150 accessible stations but more than 10% are out for months, you actually have 135. When an elevator is being replaced, don't announce the station as accessible.

We’re stepping up so New Yorkers can sit down! Today we announced that we’re installing seating at every bus stop in the city. This will make transportation more accessible and comfortable for people with disabilities, older New Yorkers, kids, and everyone who rides the bus.

Have a seat? Today, there is only one city bench for every 4,200 New Yorkers. The vast majority of NYC bus stops — 4 of every 5 — lack seating. While we fight to speed up our city's slow buses, every bus rider deserves a place to rest while they wait. Benches at every bus stop!
