Fund jobs programs. Fund shelters. Fund literally everything like this. Don't make it a weird burden of transit systems comprised of mostly fellow poor people trying to get to work.
Public transportation is not a jobs program. Public transportation is not a homeless shelter. Public transportation is public transportation. Why is it so hard to understand that?.

Another great Night Market at @MTRoyalSoaps in Remington. More neighbors make better neighborhoods. And walkable small businesses unburdened by parking requirements help our neighborhood thrive.

Free @mtamaryland is like $40m a year for the entire MSA. We burn that on one highway bridge widening a year. Come on.

This back and forth is killing me. Stop. It's true frequency and reliability are more important than free service to core users. It's also true in an abundance mindset that transit should be free, as recovery is a tiny offset. Compare car subsidy. Just everyone shut tf up.
I think it's far, far, far more important to have buses that reliably come at high frequency (every 10 minutes or better) than to make buses free. And so do riders!

This street was meant to have traffic calming and separated bike infrastructure as part of a major safety retrofit, installed by 2022 at the latest. Instead the city did nothing. 242 people have been severely injured and 8 people have died on Liberty since 2022.
