There are thousands of opportunities like this one in U.S. cities. Trading unused car space for new pedestrian space is a major upgrade.

I couldn’t be happier about @lariajon as @MayorBMScott’s pick to head the Planning Commission. This is great news. https://t.co/X3NIKVwLYT

it's pretty cool that new york did something that will > fund the MTA > reduce carbon emissions > improve quality of life > literally save lives > piss off the city's wealthiest elites, worst drivers, and unbearable cranks

Baltimore City residential assessments will go up 21%, just like 2-bedroom rents went up 24% this year. The only reason: a shortage of housing supply. There is no way to get ourselves out of a housing supply problem except to build. https://t.co/IgbcKIQ0Xq

After years of being allowed to get away with ripping people off, today trespass towing companies will complain that the City is finally insisting on abiding by state and local laws limiting how much and when a tower can charge a person whose vehicle they towed nonconsensually.

Join the meeting if you want to back up city staff’s decision and show your support as a counter presence to companies who simply don’t want to be regulated or help accountable.

Also remember, many of the same people who want their property value to rise as much as possible so that they can cash out in the future, are the people who demand tax relief from the rising value they prize.
