For all is its corporate faults, I've always been impressed by how @AmazonUK gives customers the benefit of the doubt, and refunds without question. Disappointed that @SpotifyUK can't do the same on a subscription which has been completely unused for a year, following a death.

My close friend Jim Stewart has died, aged 67, after a rapid progression of Parkinson's. We taught English, organised @NATEfeed conferences & wrote books together. He taught me much about teaching, Shakespeare, music & the hills, and even more about laughter. He's deeply missed.

This, from @WritingRocks_17, is an important reminder that instruction in writing sentences is important, BUT it is not simply "the best way" to teach pupils to write.
