West Seneca East graduate and former Canisius standout Jackson Strong was selected in the seventh round of the MLB Draft on Monday, one of two Western New Yorkers picked throughout the day.

With the 206th pick in the 2024 #MLBDraft, the Detroit Tigers select OF Jackson Strong.

SBU 🏎️ 💨💨💨 In 2024, @GriffsBaseball went back-to-back with two consecutive 100+ stolen base seasons. After going 104 last year, we followed it up with a recording breaking 121. This led @MAACSports Baseball, and ranked 13th in @NCAABaseball.
