This is the face of a zebrafish embryo fighting a lethal fungal infection that was acquired after damage to its epithelial surface. This is very similar to the type of fungal infections observed in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or burn victims.

We ran our Transgenic Mouse 🐭 hands-on workshop w/1st yr grad students in @MDA_UTHGrad Core Course. They generated founders/lines for gene construct they created to test for expression/phenotype. Hectic, interactive, &🤞🏼learning. @GeneticsGSA @SocDevBio
