@CAFxX @AviSchiffmann @BriarApp @bridgefy @Firechatapp We are actually partnering with @bridgefy to develop this!. Firechat was not meant for secure or private communications. They only had end-to-end encryption for one-to-one private messages. All of our messages - even one's sent via mesh network - are encrypted. — Anant.

@Hbrt_S @AviSchiffmann @indstryoutsider People who don’t have access to connectivity (say in the recent Turkiye-Syria earthquake) need ways to communicate when cell towers and internet goes down.

@weirdivan @AviSchiffmann @indstryoutsider Nearly all user data, save for username, public key, and profile image, are stored locally on the app and cannot be exported. Users can even choose to use the app completely locally - without alerting InternetActivism or any 3rd party that they exist as a user. - Anant.
