Bluetooth is active while on airplane mode by default! Additionally you don't have to be on airplane mode to use the app.

All of our messages - even one's sent via mesh network - are encrypted.

Hyperlocal will actually work crossplatform! So Android -> iPhone, and any other combination will be supported.

It works via sending messages over Bluetooth as opposed to using cellular service or WiFi! The app will be called Hyperlocal but it is still under development - follow us for updates!

Nearly all user data, save for username, public key, and profile image, are stored locally on the app and cannot be exported. Users can even choose to use the app completely locally - without alerting InternetActivism or any 3rd party that they exist as a user. - Anant
