This could be me. I’m in slighty better shape (on subjective scale, daily ups and downs and naps). I get flashes of life I used to have. I don’t exactly miss all of it, but I miss the sense of contributing (thus here!), belonging, achieving. Meanwhile, trying to heal. Alone.

@urbanmel There is already more every day. One look at my inbox shows the scale of the problem. It has never stopped, only got worse. Hundreds per DAY. And that’s just the UK. We have some treatments& we will get better ones. Time is the uncertainty. Although we could do better.

God damn it, Paul, . I am fucking not funded by anyone, no social security even. The Dr gave me no agency, said medicine can’t help. My narrative: do&take stuff that eases inflammation, avoid PEM. AND It works! Improvement!. You are the one stuck Paul, YOU! Open your eyes!.
Many narratives of recovery from #mecfs #longcovid! I feel for those stuck: it's a frightening place. But the charities and crowd-funded ideologues who claim to represent you are giving one-sided, polarised views that take away your agency.

I often wonder, “how can taking something your body really needs (is deficient in), make you feel so much worse?”. Then I remember re-feeding syndrome: when someone is starving and in desperate need of food, eating can actually kill them if not done super carefully.

@MikaelNiku @aliomarFIN Hesarin uutisen mukainen ”70% naisista” johtuu mm. siitä, että minulle on tarjottu mt-diagnoosia raudanpuutteeseen 3* 15vuoden aikana, long covidiin ja vaihdevuosioireisiin. Aika moni lopulta luovuttaa ja myöntää olevansa ahdistunut ja masentunutkin. kun syy on hoitamatta.
