Don't use ChatGPT for academic research. It creates fake citations to papers that don't even exist. Instead, use Consensus — an AI-powered search engine designed for academics. Ask it a question and it'll give you a summary of top 5-10 (real) published papers.

We’ve had a big push departmentally on mini whiteboards and we’re pleased with the impact. We’ve been able to adapt old recall tasks/develop new formats such as the ‘Whiteboard Rewind Recall’. In terms of spotting misconceptions/formative assessment they’re gold. #historyteacher

Counter to this study done on y4 essays - as a sixth form teacher who reads essays written by my particular cohort of 100 pupils every day, I have been accurate in detecting AI generated work every single time because I know what those students would have produced independently…

Can teachers spot essays written by ChatGPT? Anecdotes abound, but we have data! We included 8 ChatGPT essays in our Y4 assessment of 50k pieces of writing. 12k teachers judged them & we offered a prize for spotting the ChatGPT ones!
