@JavierGoya7 @mountainman_ak @jackretcher1972 refineries were shuttered because they used dirty, nasty coal. EPA,OSHA, many,many factors. Wood river, IL had quite a few refineries and then during 80s-90s they reduced output or closed. Lot of capacity was moved to TX. https://t.co/JLp9b8UIjg
