To be clear, he was a friend and a brother and there is much love for him. He helped build the modern wifi/wardriving community and did so much for us all in his way. He never stopped reminding me of the "JDUMAS" incident however. I could have done without that #riproamer

Roamer and I worked together when we were at Titan. Later, he made the introduction that resulted in me writing a book. So very sad to see the news when I woke up on the other side of the globe this morning…I wish I had stayed in touch with him. #RIProamer

I had a friend. He didn’t know he was a hacker. I brought him to @defcon 8. He found his family there. He founded Security Tribe with me, 22 years ago. He was a goon & founded the Goon Band. He loved WiFi, 33, Jameson, PlayStn, 303, & Steelers. #RIProamer 30 yrs wasn’t enough.

@slugbait The first year @defcon gave out Gold Badges for Goon Retirement, I was handing them out, they were numbered 1-100. I pulled #33 to make sure he got it. #RIPRoamer

Roamer was as cuddly as sandpaper and as blunt as a brick. He made fun of me when I f'd up and was cruel in the wifi contests he made. I learned a lot from those mistakes and from those contests. I am who I am because of him and others. He will be missed #riproamer #hackerfamily
