Cat5 should be fine. Cat6 won't be happy. Fibre would absolutely get up and smack you in the face

Never let sparkies (electricians) run network cable or conduit for network cable. Running one box to the other and then another to the demarc means cables from the first box has to do a hard 180 to continue. Fibre don't like that too much.
