@ted_ryce Thanks, Ted. Just mechanistic speculation, so take it with a pinch of LoSalt. 🤣

If anyone fancies making it at home, I recommend Manjula's Kitchen for an excellent recipe. But. Add a tsp of sugar or a heaped tso of mango chutney to the chopped tomatoes and don't be surprised if you need a bit more salt than she suggests. Try LoSalt if you have high BP.

Every time I fill up my dog's water bowl I add a sprinkle of MgCl₂-, NaCl and KCl (iodated LoSalt). No one in this household shall be magnesium deficient.

The recommended amount of salt in your diet is 6g a day. If you're struggling to cut down your salt intake, why not @seasonwithsense by using LoSalt? It has 66% less sodium than table, sea, or rock salts and is the healthier alternative without compromising on flavour.

@gregmushen @Denis_protocol If you're going to megadose n-3, ensure magnesium & potassium game is on point or you can exp afib during cardiac remodeling (yes, given a couple of months you get a rollback). I supplement Mg bisglycinate, MgCl maximally saturated spray, & iodinated LoSalt liberally on food.

New hypertension guidance from ESC recommends people without moderate-advanced kidney disease with high BP should consider switching salt for potassium-rich reduced sodium alternatives - such as LoSalt, with whom I work as medical advisor @seasonwithsense

@oppressedniqabi That's true! That's why I got myself iodized LoSalt (2:1 potassium to sodium ratio). Other than that, I will occasionally have an avocado, and drink coconut water every other day.

@dootdootootdoot @SouthernGothic3 The pickle juice contains sodium, potassium & acetic acid. Do you have some LoSalt or supermarket’s own equivalent? They contain sodium & potassium so trying to down a teaspoon of that might help? Won’t provide the acetic acid obvs.

Please note: if you take some types of medication that affect potassium levels, LoSalt and other reduced sodium salt alternatives may not be suitable for you. Check with your GP for advice.

@TruthSlingerX The leg muscle cramps at night on Carnivore is no joke. My husband used NoSalt or LoSalt to get potassium in him. He drank a small can of sugar free tonic water in the evening. And for immediate relief Voltaren gel on the cramped muscle. Keep up the great work!

@3eyedlambs If you can find an electrolyte mix that will give you a couple *grams* of potassium, per day (in balance with sodium), and say half a gram of phosphate..? Sorry, I don't know of any. Mostly just sodium salt. So we tend to mix our own. Bit awkward to find, except the LoSalt.
