We need a comprehensive cardiovascular disease plan from the @DHSCgovuk — one that has a focus on Stroke — following the publication of the upcoming 10 Year Health Plan.

Every avoided stroke saves the NHS £13,459 — and £8,716 in social care — in just one year. Yet by 2035, stroke is predicted to cost the Government £75 billion. It needs to be a priority.

We urge the Government to invest this funding into stroke care. Right now, 2 in 3 stroke survivors are left with a disability. That must change.
