A3: The biggest thing that I've learned is how important it is to have every group that might encounter a system involved in that system's development. It's hard to predict the future, and it's very likely that your own experiences will inform your predictions. #ethicalCS.

Engineering is already difficult--hard to get things right even when ethics aren't an issue. The starting point for ethical practice is to think hard about what you should be trying to make your system do. Then making it do that is "just engineering". #ethicalCS
Side question Q4.1: How can you help a thoughtful student who feels overwhelmed by #ethicalCS concerns? Overheard from a HS student (permission given to share): "there's so much that could go wrong... how can you ever get anything done with all this hanging around"
