Send this letter. Impact of tax changes hasn’t truly hit NI yet because pensions system even more inefficient than the rest. But if you are consultant on 11PA, you will get a bill of tens of thousands. And now we have a government whose mandate is to ‘fix’ health service.

Miserable weather? Gvmnt are teeing up to start their review of pension taxation next week, NO better time to ask your MP to lobby treasury as to the DEVASTATING affect of these punitive & ill conceived taxes on YOU/YOUR patients. Takes 5m 🙏customise👇 https://t.co/4YCA4oKGPD

Time’s always moving on. Nothing can stop it. The question is whether we use our time well or not. We can't do anything about the past, but what happens in the future depends on what we do now. We can create a happier future by remembering that in being human we are all the same.

Start CPR with impending arrest in anaesthetised patients rather than wait for cardiac arrest.

So here’s one to make you think (or shout). When your anaesthetised patient is really sick... when are you going to start chest compressions? https://t.co/Kn2OxjOUEY @HSRCNews @RCoANews @jas_soar

Worth a look. Especially for non anaesthetists practising sedation..

@NicholasChrimes @Anaes_Journal @SteveGreenMD Such is the variation of individual patients to ‘standard’ sedative-hypnotic drug doses I think it’s quite hard to ‘reliably’ maintain this state. That’s the crux. ....oh and many patients have different expectations of sedation. Though this #NAP5 table may help

The classic CICO subject needing eFONA is male, BMI<40 with an obstructing airway pathology.

Elegant study shows anaesthetists regularly trained in eFONA performed better than head and neck surgeons or general surgeons in CICO simulation. Key word “regularly trained”
