Wow - incredible work from the
@AAGBI
producing a webinar on
#COVID19
& what we need to know on the frontline.
I have put some of my take home points together in a thread.
Bottom line- I am genuinely worried about what lies ahead, and it is clear, we are not ready for this yet
So when my wife asks why it takes me so long to write a presentation, I have an answer! You don’t want to know how long this took to create just one slide!
@SreeHPraveenKO1
@KalagaraHari
@kaohesham
- I am getting there! 😁
Trying to figure out if I am the only one ;ridiculously impressed with the software and AR function of this programme? The ability to look inside and appreciate anatomy in this way is surely essential for practitioners of many specialties?
Or - am I just excited by the IT?!
Really grateful to have been given the opportunity to write about principles of Anaesthesia for Awake

What annoys me, is that I watched the encounter immediately prior to this (live on tv) where the young girl was over the moon to meet Meghan - but completely missed this.
How rude, how disgusting. They should be ashamed

Really blown away by this gift from 6 of my best friends & their families - known them since I was 11years old!
Hand delivered out of the blue as a thank you from them, & quite frankly it couldn’t have come at a better time!
I’ll be taking a break from here for a while xx
I recently came across this drug at
visit to another hospital!
I have never seen intravenous ibuprofen before.
I know that this will act as a trigger for some, but I am genuinely curious, what do folks think about this? Who has used it?
Really interesting correspondence in

A case report on local anaesthetic resistance!
Two epidurals, a spinal and a pudendal nerve block ALL FAILED for this obstetric patient.
Could it be due to increased microvascular permeability and fragile connective tissues? 🤔

I saw this on two consecutive pts on a list - example post-block below

I am very concerned that a passing glance at this dramatic infographic gives the wrong message. FIB does not cause death, but failure to monitor after ANY intervention can do

I think back to the day My grandad heard I was going to be an anaesthetist...he was so upset (as it wasn’t cardiology, or taking over his GP practice)
He was only appeased when I said anaesthesia did Intensive Care.
Now I may be re-entering that area again, I hope he is proud 🙏🏽
I love regional anaesthesia and working with surgeons, & am also sad that I have finished Schitt’s Creek. Here is a thread of experiences as a regional anaesthetist..
The reaction of a new surgeon the first time you state you’d like to site a nerve block... for a trauma patient
Finally plucked up the courage (thanks to Mrs P), to look through my Dad’s belongings that I had kept aside for myself.
Have some stuff that I’ll keep to remember him by, and some clothes too! Turns out he had good taste!
