It is great being a trustee @lihtrust where values are a lived reality and where debate and challenge is welcomed by the CEO Gary @grwonline Today was no different. We were tasked with debating (healthy arguing) priorities for 2030! Effective Governance in action!

Great to see you Kate. What a pleasure to talk about the importance of being deliberate about culture. Our staff are our greatest resource and if we aren’t maximising the support and challenge that we offer them, we aren’t going to maximise impact on our pupils.
12 years ago I took a group of kids from @wcps to Newham and we visited Hartley Primary School. Today I was back to interview the @lihtrust CEO @grwonline Inspired 😊

4. In between those it's the women's kite semi-finals and final. Eleanor Aldridge is already in the final (of four) because she came top two in the first set of races. Unlike Emma Wilson in the windsurfing there will be a series of 6 races so it won't be lost on one mistake....

Today is my 35th anniversary of first starting as a teacher in @NewhamLondon. Very proud to have played a part in the success of the borough. My role may have significantly changed but my motivation to work in areas of significant challenge remains the same.

Interesting that in London, which is the UK’s most diverse city, Reform UK managed only 3.2% of the vote in the Mayoral election. When human beings actually live with people from different backgrounds, they tend to get along just fine.

A sad day for Britain. Passing laws that assert lies the government wish to be true is not something healthy political systems do. My thoughts are with all those now at risk of deportation to an unsafe country.
