This is the toughest thing I’ll ever do, but it’s moments like this that remind me why what I’m doing is so important:

Avanti’s reign of chaos cannot end soon enough.
The people of North Wales are let down on a daily basis by an operator who couldn’t care less about the quality of service it provides.
They fully deserve to be stripped of the franchise.
NEW: Avanti West Coast Rail could be nationalised within days.
Public control of the franchise would follow months of disruption and regular cancellations.
Part owed to irreparable breakdown in relations between staff and management.

Was a genuine honour to attend last night’s event to rededicate the Cenotaph in Holyhead, and great to see so many locals there too.
This poignant reminder of the service and sacrifice of those from the town who lost their lives has stood for 100 years, here’s to 100 more.
