We CT scanned an Apple Vision Pro! We also scanned two Meta headsets. Here’s what we found inside, and what it says about the two companies’ approach to AR/VR and to hardware development in general. 🧵

Apache has cool stuff with wild names. I put my iceberg in the lake. There's a chainsaw and logging and even a flume but no forest (yet). My favorite so far is guacamole.

PostgreSQL and Databricks founders join forces for DBOS to create a new type of operating system. I'm bullish. This is the next venture of Mike Stonebraker and @matei_zaharia .

Want to learn about #MoldableDevelopment?. Take a look at my talk from @yow_conf 2023. The narrative was made out of multiple demos showing how widely applicable Moldable Development is and how an environment like #GToolkit can enable it. Let's get through the highlights. 1/

Requirements are so important. It's so easy to paint yourself into a corner if you haven’t measured out the room and noticed that you are painting towards a doorless wall.

Where you leave the road of the declarative framework, leave good road signs for others to follow. #orclapex.

Hey #orclapex can I get some love for another idea?. I'm requesting an Inline CSS property for each Template to pair up with our custom Template Options.

So if I quit doing whatever could make it worse I can stop that projection. This might seem incomplete but if I stop making it worse it might actually get better. Just like if I stop standing on my broken leg it will heal itself.

Oftentimes the best we can do is try to stop making things worse. This may sound a little dismal but actually it is not. Consider maybe the pain of the current situation is partly based on my projection that if it keeps going this way I will be miserable in the future. 1/2.

This is great!!. It reminds me of early internet where we had to rely on boards and 13 search engines to find stuff. I wonder if there is a way a machine learning model could recreate the song if no one can find the recording.
