Ok, so, strategize: Given the stated goal of benefitting humanity, what are the things Anthropic & OpenAI are doing in parallel to address this? Oughtn’t there be an internal socioeconomic org working with ~equal vigor to their AI development, to address this directly?

This is how it begins. When the cost of reviewing is too large the push towards delegating to the AI is irresistible. Of course, the alternative is to invest in the engineering ability to understand systems without relying on reading.
I'm beginning to suspect that a key skill in working effectively with coding agents is developing an intuition for when you don't need to closely review every line of code they produce. This feels deeply uncomfortable!
