I’ve heard a lot of criticism of high-profile athletes for “pulling up the ladder behind them” by withholding from young people the opportunities they received. Christian, don’t “pull up the ladder behind you,” by withholding from young believers the grace you received.

When my kids were little, I had a brilliant idea:. “I’ll buy them sugary cereal and tell them it’s for dessert. Because even sugary cereal must be healthier than actual dessert!”. As it turns out….

"more Europeans die [from] lack of air-conditioning--than Americans die from gunshot wounds". People on both sides of the political aisle sometimes downplay the relevance of boring economic statistics like GDP, unemployment rate, etc. to the actual lives of real human beings.

People should stop using AI because it completely fabricates "facts" and then states them with an air of expertise and confidence. Ok, now replace "stop using AI" with "stop listening to pundits.".

TBF, this exact problem led to the discovery of quantum mechanics in the early 20th century and is beyond the scope of most 5th grade science classes. But it's still amazing that none of us raised our hands in elementary school and said "this makes no sense.". 5/5

Supposedly, each atom contains multiple electrons, and these electrons *repel each other.* Moreover, atoms are constantly bumping into many other atoms. Could you imagine if just one solar system "bumped into" ours?. Yet *none* of their electrons get nudged out of orbit???? 4/

Moreover, these orbits are fragile. If you give an orbiting object a nudge, it will eventually spiral out of control. That's why you have to constantly adjust satellites to keep them from crashing into earth. So apply this reasoning to the planetary model of the atom. 3/

In actual planetary physics, stable orbits are very rare. If you shoot a random piece of junk into space, it will eventually either get sucked into the sun or will leave the solar system completely. It's extremely rare for an object to get trapped in a stable orbit. 2/

Most elementary school science is vastly oversimplified, but one idea they slipped past us is obviously wrong: the planetary model of the atom. Remember this picture? The electrons orbit the nucleus like the planets orbit the sun? . That's obviously untrue and here's why: 1/

What's happening with QAnon these days?. I haven't seen anything about it lately, from either the right or the left.
