Would you please say a prayer for me? I’m having a hard time with all this. I thought better of everyone. I can only take so much.

This is also a good reason to be slow to speak. Our sinful hearts find it easy to accuse and hard to seek forgiveness.
A few years ago, I was quite accidentally caught up in a controversy. Dozens of professing Christians spent days making and spreading blatantly false accusations about me. When the truth finally came out, I received a total of one apology. I have never rubbed anyone's nose 1/

I've criticized celebrations of "the death of cultural Christianity." That said, it is also bad when evil, unregenerate people identify as "Christian." Read what Spurgeon had to say:

One discipline to practice that promotes objectivity is using the following template for book reviews: 1. Description - accurately restate the book's arguments 2. Praise - what does the book get right? 3. Criticism - what does the book get wrong?
Funny story: our editor for Critical Dilemma read the first draft and said "You need to add statements about how you *reject* critical theory. The first half is written so neutrally and objectively, that people won't know you're vehemently opposed to it."

Please pray for Mama Yuan (Christopher's Mom)!! Last night she went to urgent care for an aggressive infection in her thumb. She was in so much pain. They drained a lot of puss from it, which helped the pain, but she is now on her way to have surgery to have the fingernail

in this, nor do I intend to. But there is a lesson here. Some of us really do believe in forebearance, not only when "our side" errs but even and *perhaps especially* when "the other side" errs (see Matt. 5:43-48). You may disagree with this approach, but it is consistent. 2/2

"Wokeness is dead! We won! The Right is in control now!" There are many reasons to believe this claim is false, but here's an obvious one: if that's true, why are so many people on the Right still anonymous?

This was also a really good talk. I spend the first 38 minutes simply summarizing Wolfe's book --heavily relying on direct quotes-- and then acknowlede the elements it gets right before I offer any critique. 1/

"So this is a meme now?" "Yes, that's right" "How does the format work? Am I just supposed to ask questions?" "I think so." "Ok, which one of us is supposed to be Dave?" "Not sure, TBH"
