Not a social media guru, in Manchester, but love to travel. Have serious issues with leasehold and the cladding scandal #leaseholdscandal #endourcladdingscandal

@alex711_k @EOCS_Official @SteveReedMP This unending horror show is also due to the failure of successive governments to regulate. As this principled man recognised some years ago đđ˝ https://t.co/Ggo8Ffsghq Sadly, principles tend to change with power. Now we're just seeing history repeat itself under @UKLabour
The Conservatives have done nothing for 3 years to help leaseholders facing massive bills to remove flammable cladding that only went up because of Government failure. Today's announcement still leaves leaseholders facing debt, bankruptcy and homelessness. Not good enough

Not only has our MA @LivingcityGroup set up a company to charge us an extra ÂŁ18 each for fire door inspections they are also charging us for any doors they don't inspect! Not surprising this is standard practice in an industry where we're ripped off at every opportunity @NLC_2019

Meanwhile our Gatweway 2 submission was made in February & we're into 2nd 40 day extension forced upon us! @H_S_E can not cope & @HomesEngland @UKLabour must act! 8 years since #grenfell & homes are still unsafe with further delays imposed by @UKLabour
@LucyMPowell @AndyBurnhamGM
Manchester's building boom is sometimes called a miracle. Instead, it's created a city of renters and a huge building safety crisis. The last instalment of my high rise trilogy looks at one block emptied two years ago where residents are yet to return: https://t.co/mE6vJGouAP

A Labour MP bragging about closed-door lobbying from TPI isnât the flex he thinks it is. For the full story on this troubling influence campaign by vested interests, watch @FreeLeasehldersâ new film:

This is the reality for Leaseholders âĄď¸We are not seeing đ change âĄď¸We are not feeling change Leaseholders have waited long enough 5 MILLION leaseholders will judge @UKLabour by their actions, not their words âď¸LEASEHOLDERS REMAIN TRAPPED #Lab25 @SteveReedMP @mtpennycook

After the debacle of costs for compliance being marketed by govt & the HSE as a cost to industry, when leaseholders were, and still are, clearly on the hook, it is a step forward to see that leaseholders will not be forced to pay for the Remediation Enforcement Unit itself. 1/n
Government says ânot a pennyâ of new remediation unit will be passed on to leaseholders https://t.co/5MYvi1v3hL

A QUIET WORD? The government is being blue-pilled by lobbyists, abandoning its manifesto pledge. Vested interests push regulation, not leaseholder liberation. We donât have cash for influence ops in Parliament - and weâre not former civil servants with insider access.
â STAND UP FOR DEMOCRACY â @UKLabour is letting shadowy lobbyists drown out the public voice. When former senior civil servants become sector whisperers and cosy up to those drafting consultations, itâs no surprise the policies are rigged! @SteveReedMP @mtpennycook @mhclg

You dismissed terrified residentsâ pleas for help for 2 years, the funding youâve belatedly allocated is insufficient, and youâre still allowing flammable cladding to go up on new buildings including residential blocks, schools and care homes #useless
It's of paramount importance that everybody is able to feel and be safe in their homes. That's why we're stepping in to speed up vital safety work. https://t.co/tsDQWWbMPo

.@mhclg say I'm wrong about Govt adviser approving Grenfell-style flammable cladding. Here's his signature on the certificate, the line about multi-storey buildings, and the type of cladding @insidehousing

Remember all these tweets @SteveReedMP ? You are in the hot seat now and millions of leaseholders are looking to you to put right so many wrongs. Please don't leave it too long or no doubt opposition will throw your words right back at you. @mtpennycook @NLC_2019
Good to see Labourâs @rushanaraali expose the Governmentâs scandalously slow progress in getting flammable Grenfell-style cladding removed from housing blocks

Almost 2 years now since the initial contact with our developers @AvantHomes and still no sign of any progress. This week we issued our 3rd complaint letter to Ridge Consultancy and also to our MP @AndrewHWestern The developers pledge simply isn't working for us.

Over a year ago, @Keir_Starmer was clear that: "My constituents cannot be left paying the cost of a broken system" But he's done nothing since; when can we expect you to stand by your words now you have the power, Mr Starmer? @insidehousing @jamesriding10

@LukePollard But we donât want to be chucked extra rights to transparency so we can be serial litigators as part of the âcurrentâ leasehold system being ended for a new, similarly abusive version. You manifesto said leasehold would be ended! Your government must not create two-tier.

Scary word play from a @UKLabour MP. We donât want the âcurrentâ leasehold system ended. We want residential leasehold ended in its entirety. There must be a mass shift to commonhold. Commonhold shouldnât just be for new flats. Say No to Two-Tier, Keir! @FreeLeasehlders
Thank you to all the people who attended my public meeting for leaseholders tonight. Itâs clear that the current leasehold system is not working and leaseholders are not being treated well in too many circumstances. Good to be able to listen to residentsâ concerns tonight.

The battle has moved from Parliament to the courts. Leaseholders are under attackânot by democracy, but by Big Freeholders weaponising the legal system. Labour must defend the will of the people. #EndLeasehold @HarryScoffin @LBC
đ˘ EXCLUSIVE MATTHEW WRIGHT @LBC INTERVIEW Toxic elites donât need coups in this country. They can take back power through the judiciary. Having lost in elections and lost with Parliament, Big Freeholders now use lawfare! @UKLabour must hold firm and end leasehold for good.

@CliveWismayer Agree competent managing agents will still be needed under Commonhold but to slur all LHs as wanting something for nothing is out of order. We have evidence in @NLC_2019 of very successful RTM buildings where LHs understand the real cost of services opposed to MA made up ones

đŞFire door checks âźď¸ Government guidance is clear, you do not need a specialist đImagine setting up an entire company so you can charge leaseholders even more money âď¸That's just what our Managing Agent has done #leaseholdscandal

Just written my first Substack article on how the Grenfell Web of Blame continues. As the govt chooses not to tackle building safety head on, this is causing market failure, exactly what they want to avoid ⌠Pls like & share đ https://t.co/DrQ7x9SBRs

How many more little fires? Near misses? 8 years after Grenfell our homes are still unsafe & remediation stuck in Gateway 2 If this hadn't been spotted by a resident things could be a lot worse What will it take to finally fix our homes? #EndOurCladdingScandal

Sadly spot on from @dominicahern - theyâll only learn when the market crashes.
