Politicians perform the ritual of power, but the altar stands elsewhere. In Whitehall, a silent god of numbers decides whatâs built, whatâs saved, and whatâs left to burn. The Treasury God â how invisible power shapes Britainâs fate. đ https://t.co/2xMzk73iAQ

We love the spunky vids from @SteveReedMP ... the manâs a full-time content creator! đĽ But still nothing on the govtâs massive judicial review win that could help free millions of us from being looted in our own homes. Come on, Stevie! Weâll even help you make the video!
THROWING AWAY THE TOURNAMENT đ This @UKLabour government isnât scoring many goals. @Keir_Starmer is unpopular. So why havenât they been promoting their massive High Court victory against the freeholder lobby of 2 weeks ago? A win for millions. Yet we get silence! Suss.

The real weakness of the BBC, as exemplified by recent events, is its failure to stand up to ludicrous claims from the right that it is somehow hugely biased to the left. Listening to Telegraph journalists bleat about a biased BBC, or Reform MPs enjoying more platforming than any

The marketâs invisible hand isnât gone â itâs been handcuffed by bureaucracy and corporate power. Rachel Reevesâs Budget could quash whatâs left of entrepreneurship â or begin to free it. The choice isnât left or right, but purpose or paralysis. đ https://t.co/SaRbIKRxlQ

But that same logic every person who has a mortgage and owes 4-5 times their earnings is in a worse state of bankruptcy @robprogressive
The U.K is on the edge of bankruptcy. National debt is almost ÂŁ3 trillion 100% of GDP: the entire yearly economy in debt The UK owes more than it earns. That means itâs insolvent The debt fuels inflation & taxes. It pushes your prices up and your savings down While youâre

What about focusing on improving productivity instead @DanNeidle?
@JulieBlackadder Cast blame all you like, but that doesnât change the choice we face. Taxes go up, or spending gets cut. Which?

Lucky you're not our Chancellor then @andrew_lilico
People ask "How could Reeves not notice that ÂŁ900 hadn't gone from her account?" That sounds like a question from organised people who run their bank accounts tightly. Personally I'd have no idea if a bill I'd believed I'd paid hadn't gone out.

You got this wrong @AndrewMarr9 she said she wasnât aware she needed a licence but she was told she needed one. Thatâs covering up I think.
âThis is not a resigning offence.â @AndrewMarr9 says the public's 'finger-jabbingâ towards Rachel Reeves' rental mistake is hypocritical.

The British public deserve politicians who know the rules apply to them. They deserve politicians who hold themselves to the highest standards. They deserve politicians who put our country first. They will always get that from @Keir_Starmer and from Labour.

I am a Councillor for the neighbouring Borough to where Rachel Reeves is a landlord and we also have a Selective Licensing scheme for Landlords. Here we gave Landlords a period of grace when the licensing scheme was introduced to get their property registered and in order but
BREAKING: Keir Starmer's ethics adviser is looking again at Rachel Reeves's failure to get a licence to rent out her home, after new emails emerge. No 10 spox says PM, who has seen the emails, still has full confidence in chancellor. The emails - between Reeves's husband

Is it true @SteveReedMP? Are you listening to big freehold investors rather than blighted leaseholders? We have requested a meeting with you and await a response....before the Christmas break would be great if possible. @NLC_2019 @mtpennycook
FT (ÂŁ) âTreasury officials have spoken institutional investors to work out how the move would affect them.â Conservatives pushed for peppercorn ground rents. Labour listens to big landlords. You would think it would be the other way round? But no. https://t.co/u4uzJwbExW via @ft

@UKLabour said they were going to 'fix the foundations' and 'put more money in working people's pockets' Abolishing ground rents achieves both Ground rents are parasitic fees for no services Driving ground rent funds from the market is what Labour should be doing
