Bank Holidays means a day off for most, but not for thousands of NHS staff keeping services running. Resident doctors, often starting work with over £100k debt, are the lowest paid workers in hospitals today. RT to remind @wesstreeting every NHS worker deserves fair pay.

Imagine if every ICB and Hospital Executive had to think to themselves “if my organisation is in financial deficit, will I still be able to afford to draw a salary to pay my mortgage?”. Because that’s how GP Partners HAVE TO THINK everyday.
This one comment in Lord Darzi's investigation in NHS sums up current mess in NHS. It Is Financial Discipline! @wesstreeting

Nigel farage wants you to think that Britain has an immigration problem. It doesn't. Britain had a problem with millionaires hoarding wealth, egged on by politicians and the press. Britain has a problem with racism. Britain has a @Nigel_Farage problem. RT if you agree.

Dear @Conservatives, 14 years ago you inherited the #1 ranked healthcare system on the planet and look what you've done: We now have the longest GP, A&E, cancer, and outpatient waiting lists in NHS history. 7.6m people long. You don't deserve power. You deserve prison. #SOSNHS

It's puzzling that people blame "the NHS" for the state it's in. It's not a religion, simply a mechanism for paying for universal care (tax funded, free at the point of need, largely publicly provided). The main reasons it can't cope with demand, in no particular order are... 1.

Last year, Southern Water released raw sewage into our waters for 317,285 hours, up 116% on the year before. Now they are asking Ofwat if they can put up our bills by a whopping 91% to pay for their failure? It's an outrage. What an absolute scam.

When Junior Doctors are on £16 an hour and MP's are on £46 an hour. And raising the Junior Doctors pay by £4 an hour is unaffordable, even though they just raised MP's pay by £5 an hour. It's hard not to see the lie. RT if Junior Doctors NEED paying.

Shit life syndrome is by far the biggest determinant of ill-health. We all need decent jobs, diets, a living income, green space, shelter, security, friends, clean air, purpose & kindness. If we focus on these, the economy & NHS will thrive. If we don't, chronic illness will win
