Just because the #RefugeeCompact is not legally binding (Para.4) does not mean there are not commitments in Para.5 and Para.49.
When policies and rhetoric challenge international protection principles, we resort to the strength of collective commitment and action. Building on the 1951 Convention, the Global #RefugeeCompact helps us do just that. For more:
