Over the weekend New Lenox Lightning went 3-2! I had lots of success at the plate by utilizing my hard slap. I completed the showcase with a .400 batting average and .667 obp, a few catches in left field, and 3 stolen bases. I’m looking forward to competing in Kansas City, MO

At a certain age, I rather send my players to college camps to play in front of college coaches than going to tournaments where no one is watching. Thats just my take on it. Everyone has there ideas on what they think is best!

If you are a High school athlete that can’t make time to get to the weight room… I hope you don’t plan on playing at the next level, because trust me you will be training year round. Even on game-days👀

Throwing to warm up, standing around doing stretches as someone counts or slow methodical “jog” to warm up does not qualify as a good warmup.

“The land of no warm up.” Thats what my athletes and I now say any time we see people who are only hurting themselves by having zero warm up and a crappy first 15 minutes+ of practice.

@TJHannam10 I had a 14 yo hitter one time ask me after why we didn’t take more swings and why we talked a lot. He was used to hitting coaches who did a lot of volume and made it more of a workout. Had to explain to him I wanted him to understand why I was asking him to make adjustments so

The best hitter's I've been around.. Take their time the most in the cage. - Talk through things - Focusing on their set up - Taking their time in the box - Doing their routine + breathing slow Cage work isn't a race. They have a purpose + a plan. Do you?
